Miami-Dade County Public Schools has partnered with the United Way Miami since 1974.  Throughout the years, our employees and students have contributed over 25 million dollars and lead the nation in school system run campaigns.  United Way invests in helping children and youth succeed in school and stay off the streets, ensuring care and companionship for our elderly, giving families the tools they need to stay together, helping people stay healthy and well, promoting economic independence, and reaching out fast in the face of emergencies.

United Way of Miami focuses leadership and resources on making Miami-Dade a stronger, safer and healthier community for all of us.  They do this by investing in solutions that not only change lives, but change our community for the better; by delivering results every day in every part of our community; by uniting people and ideas that result in more effective, efficient ways of caring; by practicing sound stewardship that ensures dollars are invested wisely; and by returning $2.51 worth of impact for every dollar raised.
